Professionally Managed Practice
The business side of the clinic is professionally managed by a highly experienced manager with a degree in Business Administration. Therefore, the physicians can happily focus on the practice of medicine without distraction by the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
State of the Art Facility
Horizon provides a newly designed, modern and professional facility containing over 40 exam rooms, new diagnostic and computer equipment, as well as large conference/board room and fitness centre. We are also conveniently located near the Queen Elizabeth II Highway (QEII), in the same building as a Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Sleep Clinic, and Infusion Clinic. A Dental Clinic will be re-locating in early 2023.
Effective EMR Administration
Since day one, Horizon has not utilized paper charts and has solely relied on an EMR for its patient records. We have also intensely focused our efforts at streamlining our workflow to maximize the digitization of the EMR into our practice. This includes e-fax and utilizing an online patient portal for patient appointment booking as well as physician/patient secure messaging for items such lab results etc.
Excellent Physician to Staff Ratio
At Horizon, we understand your time as a physician is extremely valuable. That being said, we have worked diligently to ensure our staff are exceptionally trained and are confident in their clinic roles. Our goal is a 1:1 physician to staff ratio and we go to great lengths to ensure your time spent is efficient and corresponding clinic workflows are smooth.
Social Events
We value fun and enjoyment at Horizon! Each year, we undertake a minimum of two all clinic social events and seek to have monthly informal games nights as well other fun activities. These help build collegiality and strong working relationships within our group.
